Terms of service
Last updated: 25 October 2026
These terms apply when you use or buy services from Scoutstone, run by Scoutstone LLC, registered in Delaware, USA, 3000 Biscayne Blvd, Suite 210A, Miami, FL 33137, United States (“we”, “us”). By requesting a free check, ordering or paying, you accept them.
1. Business customers only
Our services are for businesses. By ordering, you confirm that you act for a business, not as a consumer. Consumer rules, such as the EU 14-day right of withdrawal, therefore don’t apply.
2. What we sell
- Free check. 4 buyer questions on 4 AI assistants, 2 runs each, summarized on one page. No charge and no obligation.
- One-time audit. 30+ buyer questions on 4 AI assistants, 3 runs each (360+ answers). It shows which businesses the assistants recommend and why, scores each reason against 13 buying motives and maps your 15 most-named competitors by motive. You get every page fix you need, in order, with draft copy, a check of the basics that let AI find you, the data files and a recorded walkthrough. We agree the delivery date with you when you order.
- Reason Watch. A monthly subscription: the full audit in month one, then the same questions every month, every page fix you need, kept current, and 2 page rewrites a month.
- Founding rate. Our first 20 Reason Watch clients pay USD 190 a month for as long as their subscription continues without a break. Later clients pay USD 390 a month. If you cancel and subscribe again later, the price shown on our site then applies.
Your order or invoice says what you buy. If it differs from our site, the order wins.
3. What we promise, and what we don’t
- We measure the answers AI assistants give through their programming interfaces (APIs) at the time of each run. These can differ from the consumer apps, and answers change from run to run, so we report frequencies, not snapshots.
- We hand over findings, fixes and copy. You decide what to publish and you put it live. You check that what you publish is true, for example licences, prices, guarantees and reviews.
- We don’t promise mentions, rankings, traffic, leads or revenue. No one controls what AI assistants say.
- We don’t write fake reviews, hidden text or claims we know to be false.
4. Our guarantee
If your first audit gives you nothing you can act on, say so within 14 days of delivery and we refund its fee in full. Your word is enough. For Reason Watch, this covers the first month.
5. Prices and payment
- Prices are those shown on our site or in your order when you buy. They are in US dollars and exclude taxes.
- EU business customers give us a valid VAT number and account for any VAT themselves (reverse charge).
- You pay by card through Stripe, or by invoice where we agree. We never see or store your full card details.
- One-time audits are paid in advance. Reason Watch is billed monthly in advance from the day you subscribe. Its first month includes the full audit.
- We may change prices for future periods with 30 days’ notice by email. You can cancel before a change applies. The founding rate doesn’t change while your subscription continues.
- If a payment fails, we may pause the service until it is paid.
6. Cancelling Reason Watch
- Cancel at any time by email or in the billing portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current paid month runs to its end.
- A month that has started isn’t refunded, except under the guarantee in section 4.
- We may end a subscription with 30 days’ notice, or at once if you breach these terms or the law.
7. Your information
- You give us accurate information and confirm that you may share the materials you send us.
- Our work uses public information about your business and your competitors, such as websites, listings and AI answers.
- We handle personal data as our Privacy policy says. Where we process personal data on your behalf, our data processing terms apply; we send them on request.
8. Ownership
- You own your materials. Once you have paid, you may use the reports, fixes and copy we deliver for your business without limit.
- We keep ownership of our methods, question sets, scoring rubrics, software and benchmarks.
- We may use anonymized, aggregated data from our work to improve our methods and publish research. We never name you as a client, or publish a case study about you, without your written permission.
9. Confidentiality
We keep your non-public information confidential and use it only to deliver our services. You keep our non-public material, such as our rubrics and unpublished data, confidential too.
10. Liability
- Our total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- We aren’t liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits, revenue or data, or for what third-party AI assistants and platforms say or do.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence or anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
11. Sanctions
We don’t work with businesses established in Russia, or whose parent company is, or with anyone on EU, UK or US sanctions lists. By ordering, you confirm that none of this applies to you. If it starts to apply, we end the service.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We post the new version here with its date, and we email subscribers 30 days before a change takes effect for them.
13. Law and courts
The laws of Delaware, USA, govern these terms. The state and federal courts of Delaware decide any dispute, unless the law requires otherwise. If a translation differs, the English text governs.
